Michael Sparks is the Founder, CEO, and Chief Recruiter of HireSparks, the only recruiting firm exclusively dedicated to the audiovisual (AV) industry. With more than 25 years of experience in talent acquisition and recruitment strategy, Michael is recognized as one of the most trusted voices in AV recruiting and workforce development.

Since launching HireSparks in 2015, Michael has built a global network of AV professionals through more than 95,000 candidate conversations, connecting world-class talent with leading companies across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Pacific. His data-driven approach and deep understanding of the AV industry—from manufacturers to integrators and distributors—have helped clients fill critical roles efficiently and with confidence.

Before founding HireSparks, Michael led recruiting initiatives for several major organizations. At Deloitte in Chicago, he served as Director of Recruiting on the largest Java project in history, the Chicago Board of Options Exchange wireless floor-trading system. Later, as Director of the Mid-Atlantic Region at Randstad, the world’s largest employment firm, he successfully transformed two of the company’s lowest-performing business units into top performers in record time—an achievement that still stands
