Job Description:
An experienced technician with experience in system engineering, installation, cabling, wiring, and troubleshooting audiovisual systems or IT networks that have keen attention to detail and a growing passion for the development of software solutions for control or sound processing. This person would be responsible for configuring, editing, and debugging the various systems. Thinking independently and working within the specified guidelines with minimal supervision, the FSE will effectively interact with employees, customers, and colleagues, demonstrating the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and projects.
Job Duties:
- Provide technical support for audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT systems
- Diagnose audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT-related system problems Proactively manage and resolve system auto-generated Service Tickets
- Repair audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT-related systems when possible including re-terminating various cables Provide remote end-user and concierge AV & IT system support
- Configure and program equipment for a various application
- Interface with manufacturers to identify and resolve issues
- Make recommendations as to whether it is better to repair or replace a defective product
- Effectively communicate and document activities such as keeping records up to date and entering accurate timesheet information
- Deliver technical training and guidance to clients and team members
- Provide professional customer service including rapidly building technical credibility with clients via superior knowledge and service
- Professionally represent the company with Senior-level clients showing empathy, patience, and competence
- Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to peers, clients, and management
- Coordinate required activities with subcontractors, manufacturers, and company personnel through the required management chain
- Keep digital records up to date (i.e. service tickets, documentation)
- Maintain a positive work attitude, and strong work ethic, and embrace a team-centric environment
Job Requirements:
- At least of 5 years’ experience installing & commissioning audiovisual equipment & systems
- Crestron preferably DMC-E certified
- Extron preferably XTP certified
- DSP programming for ClearOne, Polycom and Biamp
- Crestron Programming
- AMX Programming
