Pre-Wire Technician

Our client is seeking a Pre-Wire Technician based in the Greater Ontario Area (Vaughan). This role focuses on installing low-voltage infrastructure in high-rise, luxury residential, and commercial environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming technician looking to build a career in the AV and low-voltage industry. The role involves working on-site to complete structured cabling, pre-wiring, and rough-ins while supporting the installation team and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Requirements

What you bring to the team:

• Experience in residential or commercial low-voltage pre-wire (AV, networking, security, or similar)
• Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams, and follow installation standards
• Basic understanding of structured cabling and job site practices
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Professional attitude and good communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently on active construction sites

Responsibilities:

• Install and route low-voltage cabling for AV, networking, and security systems
• Perform pre-wire and rough-in work in residential, commercial, and high-rise environments
• Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Work closely with installation and project teams to meet deadlines
• Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
• Support senior technicians as needed during project execution
• Communicate progress and issues with team leads
