This role involves installing, configuring, and servicing a wide range of residential and commercial technology systems, including home theaters, distributed audio, video displays, networking solutions, automation systems, and surveillance equipment.

The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills, as you will interact directly with clients and collaborate with team members daily.


Responsibilities:

  • Install and integrate audio, video, networking, automation, and surveillance systems in residential and commercial setting
  • Run and terminate low-voltage wiring during construction and retrofit project
  • Install TVs, speakers, projectors, receivers, racks, and other AV component
  • Build, wire, and organize AV racks and head-end system
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and system layout
  • Program and configure basic networking equipment, routers, and access point
  • Install and maintain IP-based video surveillance systems (bullet, dome, PTZ, AI-enabled
  • Install and configure home automation systems including lighting, shading, HVAC control, and multi-zone audio
  • Troubleshoot system and component-level issues both on-site and remotely
  • Provide detailed documentation of work completed for internal team continuity
  • Train clients on the operation of newly installed technology systems
  • Maintain a professional appearance and deliver excellent customer service
  • Safely use ladders, hand tools, and test equipment; ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Adapt to changes in daily priorities and support multiple ongoing projects

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in low-voltage, AV installation, or related fields (construction/electrical acceptable)
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial AV systems, networking basics, and system signal flow
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Experience installing and configuring distributed audio, home theater, and automation systems
  • Familiarity with control systems and subsystem interfaces
  • Hands-on experience with structured wiring, cable termination, and equipment mounting
  • Proficiency with technology in general (computers, networking fundamentals, etc.)
  • High level of professionalism, customer service, and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, ladder use, crawling, kneeling, etc.
