Travel Audio Visual Technician – Richmond, VA

Audio Visual Technician (less travel) – Reston, VA

We are currently seeking a couple of experienced Audio Visual Technicians for a national AV integrator supporting the Department of Defense and Space Force. Candidates must be able to commute to Richmond, VA, once a week. The client offers a very competitive compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Install and support a variety of commercial and government audiovisual systems.
• Assist with all phases of AV system installation, including wiring, mounting, racking, termination, testing, and commissioning.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior technicians to interpret schematics, drawings, and scope documents.
• Perform system testing, basic troubleshooting, and assist with quality assurance prior to project completion.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment both in the field and in the shop.
• Communicate professionally with clients on site and support overall customer satisfaction.
• Identify and report technical issues promptly to help keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in AV installation.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial audiovisual installation and integration.
• Strong knowledge of signal flow, control systems, networking, and AV best practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Comfortable working at heights, lifting up to 60 lbs, and traveling to job sites as needed.

Preferred Licenses & Certifications:

• CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or equivalent certification
• Biamp and QSC certifications
• Extron, AMX, or Dante certifications a plus
• Valid Driver’s License required
