Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced AV Field Project Manager to oversee on-site audio-visual installations, manage field teams, and ensure project execution meets safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise technicians and perform hands-on tasks in shop fabrication and on job sites.
  • Lead and train field technicians on safety standards, AV installation best practices, and internal processes.
  • Coordinate staffing and resources with the AV Project Manager to support installation plans.
  • Verify technicians have required tools, equipment, materials, and PPE prior to work.
  • Conduct site surveys, confirm trade work completion, and assess job site readiness.
  • Facilitate installation kick-offs and lead crews according to project plans.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the installation process and at completion.
  • Provide technical guidance to field staff and subcontractors as needed.
  • Stay current with emerging AV technologies and participate in ongoing training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial audio-visual systems and installations.
  • Strong understanding of AV infrastructure, blueprints, scopes of work, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with control systems (e.g., QSC, Logitech, Extron) and touch panel programming a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership and team-management experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • OSHA certification (10-hr or 30-hr) and AV industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I) are a plus.
